I just finished my second semester of Nursing school! I get a week long break until I go back and I'm going to enjoy every second of the break!
I started my break with an 8 mile run. Suzanne...watch out! And besides work I'll be doing absolutely nothing, but kicking back!

My new goal
So last year I did the Salt Lake half marathon. I thought I trained really hard and was quite pleased with my time of 2 hours 14 min. This year I have already signed up for the Moab half marathon which is 2 months from today! And hopefully after that I will stay in shape to do the Salt Lake half marathon. My goal this year is to not only beat my time, but to beat my sister. My sister just ran her first half marathon and killed my time by 10 minutes. Bring it on Sue Boo Magoo. May the best woman win!
Joe actually ran the Salt Lake half marathon with me, but after the race he told me he loved me, but that he would never run another half marathon for me again. He was sore for a week. So he will run the 5K in Salt Lake and then be there to cheer me on at the finish line.
Any takers to take on me and my sister?

Is it spring yet?
We have been hit hard with snow by our house! One day Joe shoveled 3 times and each time there was at least 4 inches of snow! I loved the snow when I had time to go snowboarding once a week, but that is not the story anymore. But isn't it beautiful?
And special thanks to our neighbor who uses his snow blower to plow our street!

Christmas Break
This is our first Christmas together and who knew that it would be so much fun!
I always borrow my mothers luggage when I go on trips, and I think she was getting sick of it. Her luggage is the kind that has four wheels and spins. My parents gave Joe and I spinner luggage for Christmas, so that we can probably stop borrowing hers. We need to go on a cruise now to use it!
We spent Christmas in Burley where I was able to experience all the fun Preston traditions. For Christmas Joe gave me my favorite portrait from our wedding day blown up and on Canvas! I love it!!!
We left Burley Christmas night so that Joe and I could get back to work and it took us over 6 hours to get back, and it normally takes us 3 hours. I have never had so much fun driving in a car than on this trip. I can think of no other person I would rather be with!

Renae and Tim gave me the Christus statue that I have always wanted, but figured I would probably not get one for a long, long time. And notice in the pictures our Christmas PJ's!
The next day we got one of the funnest presents! A new niece named Jane! And she is adorable! When I went to go see her for the first time I walked into the hospital with my niece Emily who was now a big sister for the first time, and not too sure about how she felt about it. I told my niece that I was Suzanne's little sister, and my little niece just looked at me like I was lying. Then she just kinda looked at me and I could see in her eyes that she was thinking ,"Get out of town!" I just know that she will love being an older sister.

What I got to do today
So today I had to wake up and be to a rehab center for my first day of clinicals of nursing school. I had so much fun!
I was able to poke people to get their blood glucose, and then do subcutaneous injections. Joe thinks its weird that I find this stuff fascinating. The nurse that I was working with was so sweet and was a really good teacher.

I Still have a lot to learn before in the next year before I'm on my own!
