Last weekend we took Kate to Arizona to visit my brother Jeff and his girlfriend Melissa.
We picked a wonderful weekend to go, the weather was perfect (75 degrees). Kate loved wearing shorts and being outside. She looks longingly out of window these days.
We were excited that the Gilbert, AZ temple was having an open house and that we could take Kate to see the temple. She squealed with delight the whole time. We tried to keep a pacifier in her but it didn't stay in to well because she was smiling and squealing. I think she loved it, and that it reminded her of her Heavenly home from months ago. It was a sweet experience to be there as a family.
Kate loved my brothers dog Diesel, and Diesel loved her. He would come
right up to her and let her pet him for as long as she wanted.
We were able to hike camel back with Jeff and Melissa. We took Kate in the carrier and she loved it. She squealed with delight and loved every minute of it. She especially liked it when the wind blew in her hair. I loved listening to others impressions who we came across on the mountain.
One person criticized me for not putting sunglasses on my 5 month old!
Kate loved playing in the grass and exploring it.
Jeff was kind enough to take family pictures of us. We really don't have any pictures of our family and it is fun getting pictures since Kate's personality is really starting to shine.
Melissa owns a Pilates studio and Joe and I were a bit curious about Pilates, and we were begging for a workout. She took us through an quick workout on the reformers. I loved it!

We loved it, and would love to make this an annual trip.
