Update

Life has been such a blast with Kate. I am so behind with updates on her, but better late than never.
Cousin picture. Kate was about 9 weeks old.
It was so nice to have family up to our place for Kate's blessing. She loves her cousins. She is the 9th grandchild on my parents side, and the first on the Preston side. Here she is with all her cousins.

Kate with cousins Phineas, and James. Kate is about 9 weeks, and the boys are about 4 months.

It has taken me a very long time to get Kate's room decorated. I finally finished these "button animals" I am not crafty and would never be able to think of something like this if it wasn't for pinterest. You may have to use your imagination to be able to tell what animal I made.

elephant. Kate talks so much and smiles when she see's this one. I think it is her favorite.
I will try to put more pictures up of our little girl. She is growing so fast, and I swear everyday I she is more beautiful than before. She has such a personality. I feel so blessed to be her mother.

Frightmares with our skeleton

I must say that Halloween is so much fun with a little one.
We were able to take Kate on her first of many trips to Lagoon. She got in the Halloween spirit and wore her Halloween costume. She was a skeleton, that glowed in the dark.
We were lucky enough to have family out there to spend time with.
Uncle Jeff, Aunt Suzanne and cousins Aaron, Emily, Jane, and Phin
We did not catch a picture with the Preston clan, but they were there for our frightmare trip.

Loved riding the tea cups with my Jane and Jeff

Kate has a smirk on her face because she just had a blow out and I had not found it yet.

Luckily I packed an extra outfit for Kate, she loved being in the baby bjorn and watching everyone walk by.
She also was a huge fan of the hat her Aunt Mary made her, it was so nice and kept her so warm.

Kate had lots of fun handing out candy to our Trick-or-Treaters

Kate's blessing

Our sweet Kate was blessed on October 13, and we were lucky enough to have so many family members travel up here to be here for her special day. We are so lucky to have such awesome Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for Kate. I asked my Mom basically as soon as I told her I was pregnant if she would make me a blessing dress if we had a girl. She was wonderful enough to agree to share her talent and make a dress for Kate. My Mom is the most talented person, I don't think there is anything she can't do. I gave her a picture of a dress I liked and asked my Mom to recreate it, I am so in love with how the dress turned out. It is a perfect dress for my perfect Kate.

Our eternal family!

Kate in her beautiful dress with her Nona.

I wanted the bottom to be similar detailing to the bridesmaids skirts my Mom made, I love how it turned out.

I love the smocking detail!

Perfection!

Curb appeal

I was so eager to get our sod put in on our house and 2 weeks ago my dream came true! I first have to thank Tom, John, Cheri, Tim and Renae for coming and helping out. They worked so hard to get our sod in, and I think we all did a great job, we could probably even open up a landscaping business because it looks so awesome. Enjoy the before and after pictures. Next spring Joe and I will put in the plants.
I'm really excited for the peach and the pear tree for the backyard and my garden.

Taking a break and testing out the sod to make sure it is Kate worthy.

Meeting the family

A few weekends ago we took Kate down to Salt Lake to meet aunts, uncles,
cousins and great grandparents. She did so great on this trip, and
didn't mind all the attention she was getting from new faces.
Here are some highlights from the trip...
Meeting cousin Phineas, they hit it off, he held her hand!

There were many other family members that Kate met and loved that we did not get pictures with.
She is very excited to get back down to Salt Lake and spend more time with everyone.
She went through a growth spurt after this trip so she has changed so much,
I don't know if everyone will recognize her.

Instagram

Kate and her Dad
I realize that not everyone is on Instagram which is sad because they are missing out on adorable pictures of Kate. Here are the pictures we have been able to share on there of our little girl.

It is wild to see in her short 7 weeks here how much she has grown and changed.

Kate loves her Dad.
She will wake up for him when he gets home from work and will literally want to play with him until 10:00,
she doesn't like to waste time sleeping when he is around to play with.

Smiling in her sleep

Getting her wiggles out

Sucking her thumb

Milk coma with her milk belly

Kate now smiles more often and seems to just love having a body and being able to explore the world

10 pounds 13 oz of perfection.
Kate loves to lay on our bed and look up at the ceiling fan. She would do this for hours if we let her. She kicks her feet and wiggles her arms the whole time, she also makes the most adorable sound when she is watching the fan. We love to turn the fan on and off for her. We were at Loews the other night and went down the ceiling fan isle...Kate was thrilled.
