1st Birthday party

We were so happy to be able to celebrate Kate's first birthday at Lagoon! A special thanks to my Dad who was able to reserve us a pavilion and make sure that everyone in the family had tickets to the park. Kate sure does love her Papa. She had a 1st birthday that I'm sure she will never forget, and if she does forget we took lots of pictures to help remind her.
We had lunch at Kate's special pavilion with all the family.

Our little water baby loves Lagoon-a-beach. She played for over 3 hours. Isn't she just the cutest little water baby?

My baby is 1!

I have been in a bit of denial that my little baby is already 1 year old! I even decided that if I didn't blog about it that it didn't really happen.But it is true no matter how I try to cope with it. My baby is 1 and growing up too fast. When she was a newborn everyone would tell me to enjoy the time because they grow up so fast. I look at newborns now and wonder how my baby skipped that stage all together, that time really did go fast. Kate has had one busy year of growing. 

It is amazing for me as her mother to look back and see the growth in one year.

I'm smitten

Kate loves to empty her toys out of the basket, and then climb inside and play with a select few

I have loved every stage of development Kate has gone through. I personally think she just gets to be more fun every day. I am smitten, and I do whatever this little girl wants. 

Apparently this is how we look when Joe and I slurp our milk from cereal.

Kate decided to take off running while at a Young Women's activity for my church.
She wanted to be just like the big girls and tried to keep up with them. 

Licorice can entertain her for a long time.
