Our House is Dry

A lot has happened since our last update.
We will be kept nice and dry now that our house has a roof and shingles.

Doors, windows, and wrap will help too

Our walls are now nice and insulated

We even have some dry wall
Family room looking at the front door

Preston family

I just love it that the Preston family is growing. We were all able to get together for dinner last night in Burley. It was fun to be together and crazy to think that the next time we will all be together we will have our little baby girl in our arms instead of in my abdomen! 9 more weeks :)

New job!

A few weeks ago Joe started him new Job at Echo Hawk law firm.as an attorney
It was so fun to go visit and see his office, and even see his name on the door.

Seeing his name on the door reminded me of a trip to Knott's Berry farm last year and having his
name on the door of a law firm was a dream.  I am so happy he achieved his goal!

Decisions, Decisions

Our home is coming along very nicely.  We figure that it will be done by the end of the summer.  It has been fun to drive by every day and take pictures to document the process.
This is the foundation after the dirt had been filled back in.
Basement floor after it was finished
 Basement getting framed

Sarah welcoming everyone to our front door

In the very back will be two bedrooms.  On the left will be the bathroom and on the right will be a laundry room that will then lead into the boiler room and some storage area.
The most recent view of our zoo.

We are feeling so overwhelmed with all of the decisions that need to be made.  We thought that it would be fun to build a new home and design it the way that we wanted.  What we did not realize is how overwhelming the whole process is.  There are some choices that are easy to make, but others are so difficult because either choice would be good.

Right now we are deciding on what stone exterior to have on the home.  Our home will have some stone and some stucco.  We think that we have narrowed it down between these two choices:

Any thoughts???
